Wall Covering Options…

All wall covering projects begin with an initial site visit to review wall conditions and do a detailed drawing of the room.  This allows for recalculation of the material after the site visit
if the material changes.  If available, the wall covering is reviewed.  A detailed written proposal follows which outlines the wall preparation to be performed, wall covering quantities needed, and labor cost to prepare walls and install wall covering.

Once contracted and work begins, the installation of the wall covering will be performed by Elizabeth or Michael Kelly.  You can always expect the following during your project:

…By An Award Winning Installer

  • English Paper

Historically, English wallpapers have been known for their high quality and use of techniques like flocking (raising fibers to create a textured effect). They are decorative wall coverings that often feature classic British designs, such as floral patterns, historical motifs, and geometric ornaments.

  • Silk Paper

Silk wall covering refers to a luxurious wall treatment that incorporates silk or a silk-like material to create a visually tactile finish. It’s achieved through various methods, including using silk fabric applied to the wall, or through the use of silk-based plaster or wallpaper. They are known for their elegant appearance, soft texture, and ability to add a touch of sophistication to any space.

  • Vintage Paper

Vintage paper wallcovering refers to wallpaper styles from past eras, often evoking a sense of nostalgia or a specific historical period. These wallpapers can range from intricate floral designs of the Victorian era to bold geometric patterns popular in the 1960s and 70s.

  • Murals

Unlike traditional wallpaper with repeating patterns, murals feature a single, large design, often photographic or illustrative, that covers the entire wall without repeating. They are a popular choice for adding a dramatic and artistic touch to a room or specific wall - either inside or out!

  • Grasscloth

Grasscloth wallpaper is a type of wall covering made from woven natural fibers, offering a textured and organic aethetic. It's known for its unique look and feel, achieved by hand-weaving plant materials like jute, sisal, seagrass, or bamboo. These natural variations in the fibers and weaving process create a distinct, three-dimensional appearance and add warmth and character to any space.

  • Wallpaper Removal

Wallpaper removal is the process of taking down your existing wallpaper from walls or ceilings, tpyically to prepare the surface for a new finish or to simply remove the old paper. It involves loosening the wallpaper and its adhesive from the wall surface, often requiring the use of water, steam, or chemical solutions, along with tools like putty knives or scrapers.
