In 1990, the reigns were passed on to Mike, Jr. who began expanding the company. As a result of decades of satisfied customers and hard work, he was able to expand beyond interior and exterior painting. The company since included services such as faux finishes, wallcovering installation and removal, carpentry, power washing, plastering and stucco finishes.

For over 75 years, Michael J. Kelly and Son has maintained a reputation of professionalism amongst not only their clients but others in the industry. The company has been a member of the PDCA, Painting and Decorating Contractors of America, www.PDCA.org, since 1950. They are also a member of WIA, Wallcovering Installers Association since 1984. Both organizations set forth “Industry Standards" that its members must abide by which defines accountability in the field.

In 2011, Design-Pro Painting and Wallpapering of Brick, NJ partnered with Michael J. Kelly & Son of Wayne, Pennsylvania and now services Main Line Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Elizabeth Kelly, as a member and current President of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Wallcovering Installers Association and Michael Kelly, past National President of the Wallcovering Installers Association and past President of the PDCA, members of IFDA, and the Wayne Business Association, are continually attending workshops and meeting with manufacturers to stay up to date on new products. We have toured the Maya Romanoff facility in Chicago, Phillip Jeffries in Livingston, NJ, York Wallcovering, Wallquest in Wayne, PA, Misha Handmade Wallcovering in Milan, Italy and many more. We work hand in hand with Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore, as well.

Wallcovering installations include grasscloth, English paper, hand painted murals, bamboo, flocked, custom murals including full architectural drawings.
